SUMMARY:Peatland Exploration Day on Bodmin Moor
DESCRIPTION:Peatlands are rare and valuable habitats and their value is still only just being more broadly recognised. Join Alan Stapleton\, a renowned soil scientist\, and Sue Allen from Butterfly Conservation Cornwall for a day exploring this wonderful habitat.\nThe day will start at Treverran\, Church Hay Down\, St Breward PL30 4PE\, where there is parking\, with a briefing about Peat Soils\, Peatland Restoration and peatland wildlife and a look at the marshy area there. Then we will lift share out on to the Moor where we will see deep peat and its special vegetation and wildlife.
