DESCRIPTION:Join our Natural Beauty & The Beast team\, in partnership with Natural England\, for our Guided walk at Kynance Gate to explore the amazing archaeology and ecology on the Lizard Peninsula. \n  \nWhen is this event? \nThursday 30th July | 10:30am start time \n  \nWhere to meet? \nKynance Cove Car Park\, Helston\, TR12 7PJ \nUsual parking charges apply\, National Trust members park for free. \n  \nWhat to Bring? \nPlease make sure to bring appropriate clothing depending on the forecast for the day as well as study walking boots as there will be sections of uneven terrain. Make sure to also bring plenty of water and snacks to keep you energised throughout the walk. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Bodmin Moor for a fascinating day with the experts\, exploring both archaeological and ecological discoveries. \n  \nWhere & When is this event? \nWhat3words – reserve.slept.dynasties \nGrid Reference – SX 19834 75418 \nPlease use the W3W or Grid Reference to find the event as it is in a remote rural location \n  \nWhat to expect? \nBefore lunch\, we’ll explore and record archaeological features\, contributing valuable data to Cornwall’s Historic Environment Record. In the afternoon\, we’ll turn our attention to the moor’s peat bogs\, learning about their vital role with the Southwest Peatland Partnership. \nLast\, but by no means least\, discover the inspiring work being carried out to protect our sadly declining curlew population. \n  \nWhat to bring? \nPlease make sure to wear appropriate clothing depending on the weather forecast for the day. Make sure to wear study footwear such as walking boots or wellies and long trousers recommended as we will be walking through bracken . Make sure to bring any medication you’ll need throughout the day as well as sunscreen as the UV levels will likely be high. Please also ensure to bring your own packed lunches as well as snacks and drinks to keep you energised throughout the day. \n  \nNOTE: Unfortunately we will not be allowing dogs at this event. We will not be walking far from the parking location\, lunches can be left in cars. If possible please bring a folding chair/mat to rest on whilst drawing and feel free to bring your own arty supplies (We will be providing all the supplies you’ll need anyway) Please also bring sturdy boots or wellies as there will be areas of uneven and potentially wet terrain.
