Thursday 13th March Treganhawke Farm, Torpoint, PL10 1JH
11.00 am start to 1.30pm with a Pasty lunch
A vet from a local practice will explain the issues around anthelmintic resistance and how to avoid those issues by good management and the use of faecal egg counts as a means whether to dose or not and how, by managing differing groups of animals, anthelmintic resistance can be minimised together with the costs of production. The day will include a short farm walk to collect some dung samples and hopefully we will be able to see a practical example of a faecal test done with results using Farm Cornwall’s FIPL supported own kit.
