Voting on topics for workshops and events was very positive, and we now have some events aimed at providing practical learning and support for the Bodmin Moor community.
Following your feedback and voting, we are currently finalising an events timetable. Below is a brief overview of the upcoming activities following your feedback:
Hear from Chris Clark, and the William’s of Presingoll Farm, St Agnes.
Chris is a partner at Nethergill Associates, a consultancy advising on achieving maximum sustainable output (MSO) without compromising nature. He has analysed over 200 farms and is co-author of “The Less is More” report focusing on improving profitability and the natural environment in hill and other marginal farming systems . Chris brings hands-on experience from managing eco-hill farm projects in the Yorkshire Dales and now works on conservation initiatives in Devon.

Mark Williams is a Cornish farmer who, alongside his brother Andrew, operates Presingoll Farm near St Agnes. Demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit, the Williams family have diversified their 81-hectare farm to include a bare-root tree nursery, dog exercise field, solar arrays, caravan and camping site, pick-your-own sunflowers and pumpkins, and heritage pig rearing, complementing their primary cereal and vegetable production.
This diversification has facilitated succession planning, enabling Mark’s daughter, Inez, and her husband, Chris, to establish their own roles and income streams within the farm business. Inez represents the fifth generation of the Williams family at Presingoll Farm, where diversification has been pivotal in enhancing business resilience.
