Peatlands are rare and valuable habitats and their value is still only just being more broadly recognised. Join Alan Stapleton, a renowned soil scientist, and Sue Allen from Butterfly Conservation Cornwall for a day exploring this wonderful habitat.

The day will start at Treverran, Church Hay Down, St Breward PL30 4PE, where there is parking, with a briefing about Peat Soils, Peatland Restoration and peatland wildlife and a look at the marshy area there. Then we will lift share out on to the Moor where we will see deep peat and its special vegetation and wildlife. Come with Wellington Boots, wet weather gear and suncream.
