What to expect?

Before lunch, we’ll explore and record archaeological features, contributing valuable data to Cornwall’s Historic Environment Record. In the afternoon, we’ll turn our attention to the moor’s peat bogs, learning about their vital role with the Southwest Peatland Partnership.

Last, but by no means least, discover the inspiring work being carried out to protect our sadly declining curlew population.

What to bring?

Please make sure to wear appropriate clothing depending on the weather forecast for the day. Make sure to wear study footwear such as walking boots or wellies and long trousers recommended as we will be walking through bracken . Make sure to bring any medication you’ll need throughout the day as well as sunscreen as the UV levels will likely be high. Please also ensure to bring your own packed lunches as well as snacks and drinks to keep you energised throughout the day.

NOTE: Unfortunately we will not be allowing dogs at this event. All under 18’s need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
